چکیده

Natural gas hydrate has gained significant attention in recent years. To safely and sustainably exploit the natural from hydrate-bearing sediments, it is crucial to understand long-term mechanical characteristics of reservoir. In this study, influence fine particles on strain rate dependence sediments under plane conditions been studied. The experimental results show that dependency properties positively correlated with saturation instead morphology sediments. residual strength primarily controlled by independent rate. Changes fines content can affect relationship between shear band angle. Finally, local volumetric expansion effect without more shows a strong characteristic. Overall, study provides valuable insights into reservoirs. These contribute development constitutive model time future, which meaningful exploitation hydrate.

Bending-Unbending Analysis of Anisotropic Sheet under Plane Strain Condition

The mechanical behavior of cold rolled sheets is significantly related to residual stresses that arise from bending and unbending processes. Measurement of residual stresses is mostly limited to surface measurement techniques. Experimental determination of stress variation through thickness is difficult and time-consuming. This paper presents a closed form solution for residual stresses, in whi...

Response of Oceanic Hydrate-Bearing Sediments to Thermal Stresses

In this study we evaluate the response of oceanic subsurface systems to thermal stresses caused by the flow of warm fluids through non-insulated well systems crossing hydrate-bearing sediments. Heat transport from warm fluids, originating from deeper reservoirs under production, into the geologic media can cause dissociation of the gas hydrates. The objective of this study is to determine wheth...

Strain-rate-dependent mechanical properties of the equine hoof wall.

The mechanical properties of fully hydrated equine hoof wall were examined at various loading rates in compact tension (CT) fracture, tensile and three-point bending dynamic tests to determine possible effects of hoof wall viscoelasticity on fracture toughness and tensile parameters. Four cross-head rates were used in CT tests: 1.7 x 10(-5), 1.7 x 10 (-3), 1.7 x 10(-2) and 2.5ms-1; four strain ...
